Charlie does not answer

  1. Check your internet connection.
  2. Read the error shown in the chat.
  3. Check that you are signed into the intended account.
  4. Review Usage & billing if the error mentions a plan, credits, or a usage limit.
  5. Try a small request in a new chat. If a particular model is unavailable, choose another available model.
If the request involved creating or sending something, first check whether the action completed in the destination app. Repeating the request can create a duplicate.

A connected app is not working

Open Settings → Plugins → Apps, choose the app, and check its connection status. Reconnect if access has expired. Verify the account before trying a read-only test. If Char can read from the app but cannot make a change, review the permissions and the specific action’s error. A working sign-in does not prove every operation is allowed.

Activity capture is missing

Check Settings → Timeline for the pause switch and exclusions. Then check the relevant operating-system permissions. An excluded app or website should not appear as captured activity. If the browser domain cannot be verified while exclusions are configured, capture may be skipped intentionally.

A microphone or screen feature has no access

Open the relevant privacy settings in your operating system and check Char’s permission. Follow any instruction to quit and reopen Char, then test again.

Content is missing on another device

Check that both devices use the intended account and that sync is enabled. Review any pending device approval. Create a harmless test note and see whether it arrives. Do not delete local data or reinstall as a first troubleshooting step. Keep the device with the original content intact while you investigate.

A note or chat is hard to find

Search for its title or a distinctive phrase. Check Archived chats for conversations. If you deleted a page, avoid making further destructive changes while seeking help.

Still stuck?

Contact support with your app version, operating system, the exact error, and what you expected to happen. A screenshot of the problem helps; remove private information first.
