Connect your first app

  1. Open Settings → Plugins.
  2. Open the Apps tab and find the app you want to use.
  3. Open its details and follow the connection or sign-in action shown there.
  4. Choose the correct account and review the permissions requested by that service.
  5. Return to Char and check the connection status.
Start with one app you already use. You can add others when a task needs them.

Test the connection

Ask for a small read-only task first:
Use my connected calendar to tell me what is scheduled tomorrow. Include the calendar name so I can check the account.
Choose a request supported by the app you connected. If the result refers to the wrong account, correct the connection before asking Charlie to create or update anything.

Apps, skills, and plugins

  • Apps connect Char to services or tools.
  • Skills provide instructions for particular kinds of work.
  • Plugins can bundle capabilities and instructions.
Installing instructions does not automatically sign you into every service they mention. Follow any separate connection step required by the app.

Disconnect or reconnect

Open the app’s details in Settings and use the available management action. If access has expired, reconnect to the intended account. You can also review or revoke access in the service’s own account settings.

If an app is missing

Use the Apps list in your installed version as the current list of supported connections. Tell us which service and task you need in Discord.
