# Get help

> Tell us what happened and what you were trying to do.

Join the [Char Discord](https://discord.gg/CX8gTH2tj9) for questions, feedback, and help using the app. You can also visit the [Char Reddit community](https://www.reddit.com/r/charapp/).

## Report a problem

Include:

* Your Char app version and operating system.
* The steps that led to the problem.
* What you expected and what actually happened.
* The exact error message, if there is one.
* Whether it happens every time or only sometimes.

A short report is enough:

Remove private note content, account details, tokens, and recovery keys from screenshots or logs before sharing them.

## Request a feature

Describe the task you are trying to finish and the point where you get stuck. For example: “I keep project notes in Char and want to turn the approved summary into an update in my team's app.”
